I gave my website a new Favicon. The Favicon is in the same color as the website. And the letter M stands for my first name (Mitchel) and stands for Marketing
A favicon is a website Icon that appears next to your url. Adding a Favicon to your website is very good for your branding and gives your website a more professional look.
Adding a Favicon to your wordpress blog is very easy. Just add an image called favicon.ico and place it on your server (with for instance FTP). You can download an image you like and you can easily edit it here http://www.favicon.cc/. After you are down creating your favicon just download this favicon plugin, activate it and you are done.

Many people maybe already know about “the cave” by Plato then you will probably totally understand everything I’m going to tell you in the rest of this article. If you don’t know the story it would be nice if you first watch the video above. I added the video because I can be a little lazy myself and there are probably many other people that are lazy too. To make a long story listening to a video is way cooler and easier then reading for half an hour.
Plato was talking about SEO
It is a fact that Plato was a very wise man. He told many stories and the cave is one of my favourites. Plato is already long gone but his stories still reflects a truth of the world of today. Actually if you listen to the story of the cave and you really think about it. The story could might as well be about SEO.
Who are those people in the cave?
He starts talking about people that are trapped in a cave. These people are actually the clients you have in the SEO business or ignorant people on the Internet.
And what is the cave a symbol for?
The cave symbolises an imaginary world where people live who think what they see is the truth. Outside the cave is reality…
What about the light and the images on the wall?
Because there is a hole in the cave where a light of a fire shines through, there appear a lot of images on the wall in front of the people inside the cave. Because the people are in the cave from birth they make up there own truth about the images on the wall. This is actually about People who think they know how SEO works, but in fact they have only seen a shadow on the wall and make up their own truth.
How can you tell these people the truth
These people have lived in a cave their whole lives have made up their own truths. If you would go inside the cave and tell them the truth about (SEO) they would all think you are crazy, because they see the truth in a whole different way. If you drag these people outside, the light will hurt there eyes so bad that it will take a long time till they will see reality and when they suddenly can see you will totally shock them.
If you would tell the truth about SEO to your potential client to sudden, because he doesn’t know anything else but his own truth he will not believe you. But if you take that one person outside gently it will not be that big of a shock and because the light doesn’t hurt his eyes so much, he will slowly start to believe you.
It is very important to take only one person outside the cave, because if you take all they will all hold on to their own reality and believes. If you take one and show him the truth about SEO he will probably believe you. And when you send that one person back to his company (or back to his cave) because all people in the cave will trust the guy that comes back, the guy can probably convince all of them. By taking them outside and to the truth one at a time, so that more and more people can convince other people back in the company/cave.
So now you know, Plato was also talking about SEO business.

Allthough I didn’t write in a while on xslinx. Because I was so busy with several other things and project. I still have a new visitor record what is totally cool. The record is for the last 30 days. Not only do I have a new record for my number of visitors but my pagerank is also updated from 0 to 4 in a few months. So it is defenitly time for a party and I expect that with the next pagerank update my website will be a 6.
]]>Google sandbox has always been a big myth. Well I just started a new project (in dutch) named poolbiljart. I made a little over one week ago. Normally it would take many weeks/months before a website gets indexed well in google. But this project of mine is indexed within 7 days. And i ranked well for several competitive words like poolbiljart (which means pocket billiard), poolregels (which means poolrules) and many more in google.nl and google.be. I just placed one link on a relevant directory which ranks in google and bang no more sandbox.
]]>I think today google did there pagerank update, at least I just found out. This was the longest period ever that has gone by without a pagerank update. I jumped out my bed to look at the pagerank of all my websites and I am more than happy. I suggest you check your websites

I’ll give a short introduction for the people who never heared of Payperpost. Payperpost is a linkmarketplace where advertiser and bloggers meet each other. It gives bloggers the upportunity to get payed for blogging and earn an extra buck (PPP pays between the 5 and a few hundred dollars per post) and where advertisers can find some good places where they can place some good links to there website, what results in relevant traffic and better searchengine rankings. In the US Payperpost is already very well known but the rest of the world had a little problem and that was that people couldn’t target relevant traffic in the correct geographic area. Recently Payperpost solved this problem by introducing Geotargeting where bloggers and advertisers can search and select each other in the correct geographic area. I think this will boost the international use of Payperpost enormously.
It is a fact that social media can drive tons of traffic to your website website . I prefer the social media website Stumbleupon because if you know how to write a good post it will drive the most traffic to your website. People on Stumbleupon like entertaining pages more than some boring post.

What is Viral Marketing?
Viral marketing is a message on the internet that spreads all by itself, like a good post, a video, a set of great pictures etc. If most people who see the message pass the message along to a lot of friends or to other people, that makes it Viral and the overall growth snowballs very quickly. And what better way is there than with great content and photo’s hot women.
